Kenardington is in the middle of farming country, and there are green fields all around, plus some beautiful woodland to explore. This part of Kent is around Romney Marsh, which stretches all the way to the sea. There are small canals criss crossing the area, which flow into the nearby River Rother.
To the north west, via the B2067, which takes you to the South of England Rare Breeds Centre. This is a superb family and pet friendly attraction, giving the chance to meet farm animals and pets up close. The Centre also has a play barn, restaurant and shop.A slightly longer drive to the west leads to the large village of Tenterden, which is a thriving local centre for residents and visitors alike. There is a superb golf course in the area, and supplies can be bought at the local supermarket. Tenterden is also home to the East Sussex Railway, which runs steam and diesel locomotives between Headcorn and Robertsbridge main line stations. The Railway offers superb Pullman standard cuisine in their own dining cars.Further afield, there is coastal enjoyment to be had, including some great seaside walks. Particular favourites are Camber Sands, with its legendary beach, and the lovely coastal village of Dymchurch. This has a fairground, plus plenty of the other distractions which make up a day by the British seaside.
