What To Expect

There are two holiday homes at Woodburn Lodges. The Clyde is modern and cosy, and it comes with its own hot tub outside.

The layout is open plan with space for 6 people in 3 bedrooms, and the kitchen comes with all the mod cons you need for cooking up a slap-up breakfast.

Head out into the Campsie Fells, an area that is popular with walkers and hikers. Climb up to Earl’s Seat and take in the views from the top.

At the Woodburn Fishery, fishing can be booked along with clay pigeon shooting and other outdoor pursuits.

Carrick View Lodge 2 Spa

One of a two modern lodges at this location, The Clyde has 3 bedrooms and a hot tub. Sleeping 6 people, there are 2 double bedrooms and a twin room. The open-plan living area boasts a wood burner, TV, DVD player and French doors that lead to the deck area. The kitchen area is equipped with an oven, microwave, fridge-freezer and washing machine. Wi-fi, linens and towels are provided, along with an initial basket of logs for the fire.

Activities Around The Milton of Campsie area

Glasgow is a 20-minute drive from the Milton of Campsie. In this lively city you can enjoy a shopping trip on Buchanan Street, a stop by the Science Centre, a visit to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery or a tour of the great cathedral. When it comes to places to eat, visitors to Glasgow are spoilt for choice.

Getting away from the city is easy in this part of Scotland. Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park offer miles of beautiful countryside, mountains and woodlands to explore. Spot the wildlife as you walk, and see red deer, red squirrels and eagles roaming free.

Stirling Castle is one of Scotland’s most important sites. It was home to the Stewart kings and queens, and is grand inside and out. There’s a great hall, kitchens, a chapel and tapestry studio with more than enough to keep the whole family interested. And while you’re in Scotland a visit to a whisky distillery is a must.

Deanston Distillery is a few miles outside Stirling where there’s a visitor centre. You can learn all about the skilled processes that occur in whisky production.

A Final Note

Get away from it all with a stay in The Clyde at Woodburn Lodges. There is a lot to explore in the area, from mountains and lochs to castles and ancient towns it’s ideally located for a wide range of things to do. Glasgow is within easy reach for museums, restaurants and lots of shops. Edinburgh is about 45 miles away, you can drive there in just over an hour.

If you enjoy fishing then you can arrange a session or two at the fisheries onsite, and if you want more to do they can also book other outdoor activities in the office. After a long day out and about, jump into the outdoor hot tub and spend time relaxing in the bubbling water.
