Aviemore and the area surrounding the village offers a huge range of outdoor pursuits. From skiing and snowboarding in the winter months to climbing, hiking and mountain biking in the summer, there is lots to do here.

After spending long days enjoying outdoor pursuits, the cottage is the ideal place to return to. With enough room for a group of friends or larger family, you can enjoy self-catered meals together in the spacious dining area, or outside on the patio.

Dogs are part of the family, and that is why they are very welcome at Birch Corner holiday cottage. You can bring up to 2 pets with you to stay here. The wide, enclosed garden offers them plenty of space to play at the accommodation. For longer walks, take your pooch on the trails across Cairngorms National Park and enjoy getting closer to nature.

Activities In The Aviemore Area

Cairngorm Mountain near Aviemore is the best-known ski and snowboarding area of Scotland. In the winter the slopes are busy with people enjoying the snow. In summer, climbing and hiking are the things to do.

Aviemore is the main tourist hub and is busy all year around. There are shops, eateries and great places to drink in the village and it’s the starting point for many walking trails. Nearby, Rothiemurchus is the centre for outdoor pursuits of all kinds. You can book sessions of quad biking, clay pigeon shooting, archery and pony trekking.

There is something for all ages and abilities here. At Carrbridge, there is the Landmark Forest Adventure Park where families can walk along a treetop trail, ride on a water splash rollercoaster and climb on challenging playgrounds.

The Highland Wildlife Centre is 10 miles from Aviemore where you can see tigers, leopards, red pandas, wolves and polar bears. There is a lot to learn in the education centre, and you can enjoy scheduled feeding times too. For a ride on an old steam train, visit Strathspey Railway where a 10-mile section of track has been painstakingly reinstated.

If you have ever wanted to explore Scotland and the Cairngorms National Park, then this is the ideal cottage for you. Within easy reach of the mountains and long walks in the countryside, there is so much to do here it's hard to know what to do first.

Birch Corner

This 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom detached house has a large garden with a hot tub, and a living room with large picture windows, a log burner, TV, blu-ray player and PlayStation 3. On the ground floor, there is also a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room.
