Pet Friendly

Wood view is pet friendly, no more than 3 dogs are allowed. Owners must keep their dogs under strict control as it is a working farm. Outside of the farm, there is vast countryside and hills for them to explore.

Activities around Wood View

Rusland Valley has trails ideal for cycling or taking a slow walk and picnicking. Walk through woodland to High Dam, find the perfect spot along the banks to paddle or have a swim. Grizedale Forest is nearby with its many trails and the Go Ape aerial walkways.

More fun is to be had at Adventure 21, stunning outdoor activities for the whole family. Try the Lake District Paintball for family groups Other Activities include, gorge scrambling, raft building, rock climbing, abseiling, bushcraft, survival, archery, rifle shooting, axe throwing, waterfall climbing, kayaking and wilderness camping.

The West Lakes Adventure is another great outdoor activity. If you are up for a challenge than Treetop Trek is for you. Exciting 35 treetop challenges, designed to make you swing, climb, balance and fly through the ancient oak woodland canopy, just like a monkey. You will be attached to a continuous safety cable.

Adrenaline junkies will enjoy the race down the 250 metre parallel zip line. Try and catch a glimpse of the awesome views of the fells and Lake Windermere as you race through the woodland. If you enjoy watersports then pay a visit to Windermere Canoe Kayak. They have a wide variety of canoes, kayaks, and stand up paddle boards available to hire or purchase. They offer guided tours of Lake Windermere. Explore the island or do some wildlife spotting from your water craft. If that’s not exhilarating enough then have a swim at one of the many swimming spots.
