The Accommodation

Built in the 17th century, this historic cottage retains its original oak beams and flagstone floors but has been made cosy and comfortable with the modern addition of underfloor heating and gas coal-effect stove.

Totally renovated, the original stone fireplace remains as do the large mullion windows which offer fabulous views of the Pennine countryside.

The property sleeps up to four people in two bedrooms, both with a full en-suite with walk-in shower – exactly what you need after a day's walking or cycling. There's the added bonus of a downstairs shower room and the water source is a natural bore hole.

For indoor entertainment, there are Freeview TVs and DVD players in the living room and each bedroom and free Wi-Fi.

The outside space is appealing too with a luxurious hot tub seating five set on a south-facing flagstone patio. There's also a barbecue on the patio.

The cottage is situated on a non-working farm and as there are some sheep and the owner has a dog, pets are not allowed.
