What To Expect

Wilson House Holiday Park is a specially built, adult only hideaway set in the quiet Lancashire countryside. Nearby is the historic town of Garstang, and the River Wyre dominates the area.

Perfect for anything between two and six people, with two or three bedrooms. A choice of detached, purpose built open plan wooden lodges with French doors opening onto raised decking. Complete with private hot tub and pet friendly facilities.

The resort is pet friendly. Between one and three furry friends can join you on your adults only holiday, set in open countryside. There are plenty of walks and cycling routes to keep everyone entertained.

Activities in the garstang area

The park sits in open countryside near the mouth of the River Wyre on the Lancashire coast. The Park’s location is perfect for walking the dogs, or taking private strolls with your adult companions.

The coast itself has plenty of attractions, from the fishing port of Fleetwood down to the world famous attractions in Blackpool. As well as coastal walks, there are plenty of places to stock up on supplies, not to mention great places to eat and drink.The open countryside of the area is very popular with horse owners, and well behaved dogs will love exploring the area’s bridleways and habitats. There are many migrating species of birds in the area at different times of the years, which is perfect for nature lovers.

Just to the south is the Ribble and Alt Estuaries nature reserve, whose huge salt marshes and flats are perfect for waterfowl. The reserve is very dog friendly, and both pets and their owners can have a hearty breakfast or midday meal while out and about.To the east of the park is Garstang, which is an ancient market town ideal for sightseeing and exploring with both four and two legged friends. The whole area is packed with history, and the County town of Lancaster is just 10 miles to the north. Tourism in this area is geared to walkers, hikers, cyclists, and particularly dog owners.

This retreat is the ideal setting for adults only, lodge based holidays, especially those who love the wonders of nature and the British countryside. Coastal walks, open countryside, and some of the country’s most spectacular scenery are all on the doorstep. 

Dog friendly paths, activities and facilities are all catered for in the many local market towns and villages, and there are also the hot spots of Blackpool for the more adventurous.

Back on the ranch, as it were, the lodges themselves are perfectly equipped for quiet nights in, plus the chance to relax with a glass of champagne on your own private decking, and ease aching muscles in your own private hot tub.
