Activities in the Edwinstowe area

The local area has lots to offer holidaymakers whether you want leisurely days out or action-packed activities and the central location means some of the country’s top attractions are within easy reach.

Steeped in legend this is a county of lush, green forest, ancient market towns, and idyllic villages. Nottingham is within easy reach where you can visit some excellent historic sites, do some shopping or enjoy a meal at one of the excellent restaurants.

Other local attractions within driving distance include Clumber Park, Wollaton Hall, Southwell Minister and Wheelgate Park. 

Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the adventure course at Go Ape and the abseiling kayaking, caving and canoeing on offer at Twin Peaks Activity Centre while Nature lovers will love the Attenborough Nature Reserve with its nature trails and activities (don’t forget the camera)

A Final Note

However, you like to spend your time, there is something for everyone at this lovely Sherwood Forest retreat. The nearby village of Edwinstowe is supposedly the place where Robin Hood married his sweetheart Maid Marion and boasts several quirky shops selling souvenirs and local crafts as well as several outstanding restaurants.
