Activities in the Boughton Area

There is plenty to see and do throughout this area of west Norfolk. Stay at your cottage enjoying a BBQ in your enclosed lawned garden with courtyard. Or visit the surrounding areas. The moated manor house of Oxborough Hall is nearby, as are the Fens. The Royal family regularly use the Royal Estate at Sandringham, which is 37 miles away.

The north Norfolk coastline has stunning views with its soft sandy beaches. The Broads and Norwich, are all a short drive away. A trip to Hunstanton is great for beach lovers. Head down to any of the other sandy beaches for traditional seaside activities and attractions for all ages. Hunstanton also offers lively seasonal entertainment, a Sea Life Centre and cliff-top golf course.

To the south, lies Ely, with its cathedral, Saturday market, array of gift shops and a pretty waterfront with boat hire. The Pensthorpe Nature Reserve and the Thursford Collection are nearby. King’s Lynn also offers an excellent day out, with its medieval buildings including the churches and Guild Hall.

Westgate Towers Museum & Viewpoint was Built in 1380 the Westgate Towers is England's largest surviving Medieval Gateway. Explore its unique history and take in some of the most iconic views in the county of Kent. These ancient builds are marvels of architectural design. Enjoy the day out at the Ely Markets. Ely Markets are a chartered market in the centre of the historic Cathedral City of Ely. Markets are held every Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday.

The specialist Farmers Market is held every 2nd and 4th Saturday. For the adrenaline junkies there is the popular North London Skydiving Centre. You can free-fall from the plane but only on clear sunny days. They are a number of places nearby that have great fishing spots. Perfect for a leisurely day out. Pack a picnic basket to take along.
